Kestrel Instruments has been building solutions for customers working in the world's toughest weather conditions and remote locations where easy access to the internet and power are problematic. Our accuracy, reliability, and durability can now be found in an out-of-the-box-ready weather station. The KestrelMet® 6000 Cellular Weather Station is our most exciting product launch to date, working as an all-in-one station that requires no electrical or wifi connection or complicated configuration.
The KestrelMet 6000 Cellular Weather Station is an all-in-one solution for reliable hyper-local weather monitoring with access to a full suite of commercial sensors. All the key meteorological sensors you need to track weather conditions are included, nothing to add. We also made sure it was solar-powered, so you never have to worry about replacing batteries or setting up an external power source in a remote or hard-to-reach location. Unlike some other weather stations, we chose to include a low-cost cellular plan that ensures reliable coverage at an affordable cost. It's so affordable, in fact, that the first year is FREE!
Our customers have struggled to find an easy to deploy solution for remotely monitoring weather on jobsites, habitats, and hard-to-reach properties. The options that currently exist on the market are expensive, overly complicated, and take a lot of time to set up. We listened to what customers told us they needed and we developed the KestrelMet 6000 Cellular Weather Station.
The KestrelMet is purpose-built to serve a wide range of locations impacted by weather - the jobsite, residential and commercial properties, facilities, or field locations. The station requires no guesswork and is fully configured, so it is ready to be deployed quickly and easily to a remote or hard-to-reach area. There are also no complicated configuration decisions needed, as all the sensors and cellular modem are pre-built right into the unit. Furthermore, cellular connectivity means you do not need any wiring or electrical grid to start reporting crucial weather data on location.
Even in the most remote locations, the KestrelMet 6000 is engineered to track and store weather data. Observing weather trends to prepare for upcoming events or recording data to document is only a click away with a low-cost cellular plan with the first year free, and a cloud portal that can be viewed anywhere you have internet access.
Set up a free account at KestrelMet.net and register your device to connect it online. The online dashboard allows you to view and manage your weather station data from a desktop or mobile device. Remotely monitor current weather conditions or view historical data to visualize trends and zero in on anomalies.
Our low-cost cellular plan comes with the first year FREE and is a $50/annual fee after that - much cheaper than many home internet plans. No hidden or activation fees, and the SIM card comes activated for seamless connection to KestrelMet.net.
As you'd expect, the KestrelMet can track a full suite of critical weather measurements:
Equipped with a 24-hour aspirated fan, this weather station is built for superior accuracy. Shielding over the air temperature and relative humidity sensors with a 24-hour aspirated fan keeps air moving continuously over the sensors. This results in a significant improvement in measurement accuracy versus passive-shielded weather stations with no aspiration fan.
The KestrelMet 6000 comes pre-assembled and configured; you can have the device installed and online in twenty minutes. Cellular connectivity and solar power with a backup battery make this a completely standalone solution right out of the box. It eliminates the hassle and headache of a DIY setup approach.
Get weather information even in remote locations with our reliable cellular coverage and low cost-data plan. No need to worry about wifi reception. For professionals or anyone who doesn't want to deal with interruptions from spotty internet connections, cellular offers the best solution for data reliability.
Mounting in difficult locations is made easy with either the Mono Mount Kit or the Tripod Mount Kit. Both options offer quick install and a secure mounting system. The Mono Mount can be used on a pitched or flat roof and a vertical surface such as a gable end. In comparison, the Tripod can be used on flat terrain, a flat roof, or the ridge of a pitched roof.
