NIST-Traceable Kestrel Calibration

All our calibration standards are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), ensuring the highest level of accuracy. Our wind/airflow standard is calibrated in the NIST laser doppler wind tunnel, as this is the only lab in the country that can provide the calibration accuracy we require.

NIST-traceable calibration ensures your Kestrel meets the highest accuracy standards required in regulated fields like research, safety, and environmental monitoring. Each service includes a NIST Calibration Report and Certificate with "as found" and "as left" values, and sensors are adjusted when possible to restore accuracy.

When can you purchase NIST-Traceable Calibration?

• At Time of Purchase: Add NIST calibration for each required sensor before checkout. No serial number is needed. Please type the word "NEW" in the Serial Number field above. Your calibration report and certificate will be included with your order. Please allow an additional 3–5 days for processing.
• After Purchase (Recalibration): Ideal for annual maintenance or industry compliance. Select the calibration you need, provide your device's serial number, and return the unit to the address below. Your completed NIST Calibration Report and Certificate will be returned with your Kestrel.

Shipping Your Kestrel for NIST Calibration

After placing your order, note your order number and clearly write it on the outside of your shipping box.

Shipping Notes

• Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping their unit to NK.
• Return ground shipping is free within the U.S. and Canada for both warranty and non-warranty services.
• Expedited and international return shipping is available at an additional charge.

If you're shipping your unit from outside the U.S., please include the following on each line item of the customs invoice to avoid unnecessary duties or taxes:

90-Day Limited Warranty on Calibration Services

All repairs and tune-ups are warrantied for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of service (1) that service was performed in a competent and workmanlike manner and (2) that all parts used to service your product were free from defects in materials and workmanship. The foregoing warranty is an express limited warranty and in the event of breach, NK will either (i) re-perform the service, (ii) repair or replace the part, or (iii) refund the cost of the service provided. Products will continue to be covered by their original limited warranty after repair or tune-up, or by this limited repair warranty, whichever is longer.
