Altitude and Mountain Climbing: Kestrel 2500 and Kestrel 4000

Last month, EXP Adventures, LLC, a company whose innovative approach toward providing time-pressed, intrepid travelers with challenging and culturally immersive experiences, took a group of climbers to brave Mt. During the climb, EXP Adventures team member Nicole Murray used the Kestrel 4000 Weather & Environmental Meter to monitor barometric pressure and 3-hour pressure trends. After noticing a rapid decrease in barometric pressure, Nicole was able to alert the team and prepare for the worst by securing loose clothing and pack items, and identifying shelter for the group. In the event of sudden and heavy snowfall, they would also need to find level land.
Fortunately, the worst the team was forced to endure was a mild rain storm, and by the time they reached the summit, there were clear skies.
